Growing Conditions

One of the hottest summers on record. Dry conditions, followed by tropical cyclones Vance and Elaine, brought unseasonal rains in mid March and provided new challenges for the Adelaide Hills - botrytis problems, shrivelled fruit and delays in harvest.

Nose

Sweet ripe honeymelon, honeysuckle pear, clove and spice aromas complexed by toasty cashew nuts and creamy honey yoghurt hints.

Palate

Intense and opulent on the palate with complex buttery integrated oak flavours, good mouthfeel and incredible length.

Appearance

Bright gold in colour.

Ocean trout and crayfish, vegetable and game terrines, pasta, pork, spatchcock and veal.
