Growing Conditions
A wet winter, with average rainfall during the four-month winter period, followed by a mild, dry spring, leading to excellent growth, good set and vigour; however, frosts caused damage in some vineyards.
Nose
Attractive, sweet, delicate aromas of cassis, blackcurrant and violet with leathery undertones and savoury nuances.
Palate
The palate is still youthful with rich fruit flavours and beautiful layers of texture and complexity; chalky tannins and a long, luscious finish.
Appearance
Crimson in colour with brick red hues.
Aging
Matured in new French hogsheads for 21 months prior to blending and bottling.
Harvest
A mild, late Indian summer ended the cool season, ensuring excellent ripening conditions and accumulation of colour and flavour.

Bottle aged at Henschke Cellars in Keyneton for museum release.
